Housing Application Information
How to Apply for Housing
- Apply and Gain Admission to SMC
- Log In to the Housing Portal to Begin the Application
- Use your SMC Wired credentials, found in your Admitted Student Portal, to sign into the housing portal.
- Sign the Residence Life Agreement
- The Residence Life Agreement may be found in the Student Handbook.
- Fill Out the Application

- You do not have to complete the application in one setting. You may leave the application at any point and complete it later. Your work will be saved.
- Pay the Non-refundable, $75 Application Fee
- Submit Your Application
- After Receiving Confirmation of Your Application, Log Back In to the Portal to Complete Your Profile
- Complete your roommate profile and update your emergency contact information.
- You may also log back in to select a roommate and a room during the Roommate Selection phase (see important dates). View instructions for how to select a room here; view instructions for how to select a roommate here.
