Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ELEC 233. This course covers programming of PID loop, motion control, sensor utilization and open and closed loop control. Also covered are the safe operation and maintenance of sensors, transducers, controllers, and final control elements and other devices used to control industrial processes. Principles and practices relating to many kinds of devices used to control temperature, pressure, flow, level, force and motion will be studied. Hands-on training focuses on Allen-Bradley devices and Rockwell software. There is also an emphasis on troubleshooting PLC programs. [Semesters Offered: Fall]
